REQUIREMENTS FOR MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

DEAR COLLEAGUES!

We invite you to be among the authors of the Journal "Chemical Physics and Mesoscopy".

The Journal is included in the international abstract database ‘Chemical Abstracts’, Russian Web of Science Core Collection ‘Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI)’, the databases of VINITI RAS and CyberLeninka. Information about the Journal is published annually in the international reference system Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.
Since 2019 the articles published in the Journal have been assigned DOIs. Since 2023 the Journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific journals, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences in the following specialties should be published: 1.1.9 – Mechanics of liquids, gases and plasma (technical, physical and mathematical sciences); 1.2.2 – Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and software packages (technical, physical and mathematical sciences); 1.3.8 – Condensed matter physics (technical, physical and mathematical sciences); 1.3.14 – Thermal physics and theoretical heat engineering (technical, physical and mathematical sciences); 1.3.17- Chemical physics, combustion and explosion, physics of extreme states of substance (technical, physical and mathematical, chemical sciences); 2.2.8 – Methods and devices for control and diagnostics of materials, items, substances and natural environment (technical sciences).

1. An article should be submitted in one copy. The length of the article should exceed 5 pages. The limit of 5 – 15 pages in A4 format is preferable. The article should be typeset in MS Word using 12 pt font size, formulae - in MS Equation or MathType; 1.0 line spacing, 1 cm indentation, page margins - 2.0 cm, (an electronic copy is attached to the article):

1.1. In Russian:

  • UDC (no more than 7 significant characters)

  • Scientific specialty number and branch of science

  • Article title

  • First Name, the Initial of Middle Name (use a full stop after the initial), Last Name of the author (s)

  • Name of Organization, mailing address and postal codes

  • An abstract should be about 70-80 words and briefly describe the contents of the article; figures, formulae and literary references are not allowed

  • Keywords: no more than 7 words

  • First Name and Last Name of the author for correspondence, e-mail

1.2. In English:

  • Article title

  • First Name, the Initial of Middle Name (use a full stop after the initial), Last Name of the author (s)

  • Name of Organization, mailing address and postal code

  • An extended abstract about 200-250 words should contain an introduction, aims and objectives, methods, results and main conclusions of the work; figures, formulae and literature references are not allowed

  • Keywords: no more than 7 words

  • First Name and Last Name of the author for correspondence, e-mail

1.3. The recommended sections of the text of the article: Introduction (include the literature reference data and the formulation of the aim of the work); Experimental (indicate materials, reagents, equipment and operating procedures); Results and discussion; Conclusions.

1.4. At the end of the article, in the "Acknowledgments" section, the information should be provided on financial and grant support (duplicated in English) as well as on persons who provided substantial assistance in the preparation of the work.

1.7. Information about the authors: the authors’ family and given names in full, academic degree, academic title, position, organization, and email address for correspondence (all the information about the authors should be duplicated in English).


 2. Illustrative materials should be submitted in the following form:

2.1. Raster images (photos) should be in separate files in BMP, TIF or JPG format with a resolution of 300 dpi or inserted into the text; illustrations created by means of MS Word should be grouped; vector images created in Coral Draw, Adobe Illustrator - in separate files.

2.2. Figures and tables should be numbered and have descriptive titles and captions. The text should contain links to illustrations (tables). The titles or captions of figures, the titles of tables and any texts in tables should be duplicated in English.

 

3. Writing formulae, units of measurement, list of references:

3.1. Each line of a formula is typeset as a separate element; it is not recommended that Cyrillic characters are used in formulas; for decimals dots are used.

3.2. Measurement units for physical quantities should be given in accordance with GOST 8.417-2002.

3.3. In the reference list sources should be numbered in the order they are cited in the text in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008; a reference to a source is indicated in brackets; you should refrain from references to textbooks, training manuals, conference abstracts, GOSTs, orders and other regulatory documents, company websites, etc. (if they are not the object of research); it is recommended that at least half of the reference list be formed from articles published in the world's leading peer-reviewed sources no older than 7 years (included in the Scopus and Core Collection Web of Science); if the publication is assigned a digital object identifier (DOI), it should be indicated.

Formatting a Reference List:

3.3.1. References:

  • for a book: All authors’ last name should be followed by the initials of first and middle names; use a full stop after the initials. Book title. Date of publication.

  • for an article: All authors’ last name should be followed by the initials of first and middle names; use a full stop after the initials. Article title // Journal title (in full), year, volume, journal issue number, page numbers or the number of pages.

3.3.2. References:

- Russian-language editions:

for a book: All authors’ last name followed by the initials of first and middles names; use a full stop after the initials. Last name and initials should be transliterated (BGN). Transliterated title of the book (BGN). [The book title in English]. Date of publication.

for a journal, collection of articles, etc.: All authors’ last name followed by the initials of first and middle names; use a full stop after the initials. Last name and initials should be transliterated (BGN). Transliterated title of the article (BGN). [The article title in English]. Transliterated title of the source (in full) (BGN) [The source title in English], year, volume, issue number, page numbers or the number of pages. (In Russian). DOI (if available)

– foreign books and magazines:

for a book: All authors’ last name followed by the initials of first and middle names; use a full stop after the initials. Title in the language of the publication. Date of publication.

for an article: All authors’ last name followed by the initials of first and middle names; use a full stop after the initials. The article title should be in the language of publication. Title of the source, year, volume, issue number, page numbers or the number of pages. DOI (if available)

  

4. Alongside with the original of an article the reviewer’s recommendation for publication and copyright transfer agreement (one for all authors) should be provided.

When published in the Journal:

  • authors retain copyright to their work and provide the Journal with the right of first publication under terms of Creative Commons Attribution License which allows other people to distribute the work with obligatory retaining of references to the authors of the original work and original publication in the Journal;

  • authors retain the right to conclude contractual agreements for nonexclusive distribution of the version of the work in the form published in the Journal (for example: placing it on the organization online storage site or on the personal site) with the reference to its original publication.

  • authors have the right to make their work available on the Internet (for example, on the organization storage site or on the personal site) before and during the consideration of it by the Journal since it may provide more productive discussion and a larger number of references to the said work.

 

Works that have been published and/or have been accepted for publishing in other periodicals are not allowed.

An article should be carefully edited and signed by all authors. The Journal reserves the right to reject an article if the article layout has been improperly made with no due regard for the rules.
